Get Rid of Razor Bumps Easily and Forever

Get rid of razor bumps with an easy and simple shaving technique. After shaving many people of color or with curly hair suffer from razor bumps and ingrown hairs. Razor bumps occur after shaving when your shave is done improperly.

There are a ton of razor bump products that treat the problem for you. However if you continue to use the wrong techniques while shaving the bumps will keep coming back. If you currently are having problems with razor bumps then it’s a good idea to purchase a product that helps to prevent them. Having less bumps on your skin will lead you to having a better shave.

A tweezer can also come in handy when you are trying to free ingrown hairs. You can use the tweezer to excavate any hairs which may be embedded just underneath a top layer of skin. The hair should only be freed and not taken out completely in order to avoid further skin problems.

The best way to get rid of razor bumps is to prevent them in the first place. In order to prevent them you need to change the way you shave from now on.

Use the steps that follow when you shave and you will soon see a difference in the amount of razor bumps you have.

* Using a face exfoliating cleanser, wash your face before you shave. You want to use a product that will take off layers of dead skin giving you a shave that will be closer.

* You should shave after you shower and not before you shower. The heat from the shower will soften your hairs as well as open your pores. You can also apply a hot towel around your face and leave it on for a few minutes to get the same result.

* Before starting to shave use a shave oil.

* I use a pre-shaving oil along with a shaving gel when I shave. I’ve stopped using the foaming shaving creams and stick to a non-foaming gel or cream. The combo of pre-shave oil and gel or cream lead to easier shaving.

*Always shave with a razor that is not dull. Using a sharp razor is detrimental to a better, bump free shave.

* Shave in the direction of your hair growth. Never go against the grain.

* After you shave rinse off your face with cold water. The cold water will close your pores after shaving.

* Instead of using a traditional after shave I’ll use something like witch hazel or tend skin liquid.

* One of the most important post shave rituals is making sure that your face is properly moisturized. Use a post shave lotion that contains spf.

You should follow the above shaving regimen every other day or when your hair starts to grow. This will keep your skin healthier in the long run.

Try to shave using the steps above each and every time you put a razor to your skin. If you make it a ritual you will see the lasting effects quickly.
